Father Joseph Anthony Marcheselli, OFM Conv.

  1676 birth in Casalmaggiore, Italy
  1691 entered the Conventual Franciscan Friars in Bologna, at the age of 15
  1699 was ordained to the Priesthood, after studies in Ravenna
  1701 was sent to the Sacred Convent Assisi
  1702 preached at the Basilica
  1713

wrote a commentary, called his "Instructions," on the 1289 Third Order Rule of Saint Francis

  1725 came back to Assisi, from Rome, to stay
  1730 wrote his Intention
  1742 died in Assisi on May 16
     

Mother Angela Maria del Giglio

  1658 birth in Vicenza, Italy February 7
  1684 came to Assisi as a pilgrim, at the age of 26, and stayed
  1697

became a member of the Third Order of Saint Francis in the fraternity at the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi

  1702

met Father Marcheselli, guide of the Third Order, asks for spiritual direction

  1736

soon before her death, found Assisi's support to construct an arch above the road to connect community's school and house

  1736 died in Assisi November 2
